Publication sorting

When the publication settings are set to sort by date, publications are sorted and grouped by the year. Within each year, it is then grouped by sticky and non-sticky and then sorted  by post created date.
For harvard chicago author style, we would like to sort it by the date published since it allows the user to enter the month and day even if it is optional

  • In addition to the above description: when using the Harvard Chicago Author-Date style: the sorting will take into account the day, if it's specified, and sort in descending order. If only the month is specified in a publication, it will be sorted as if the day was in the beginning of the month; if there are several publications that only specify the same month, they will be sorted alphabetically (ascending) by title. If only the year is specified, they will be sorted as if the date was at the beginning of the year and then by title.

Example (the text is the publication title and the date is as it was entered):

    2017

    • Lorem Ipsum (2017-04-27)

    • Enim ad minim veniam (2017-02-14)

    • Duis aute irure dolor (2017-02)

    • Excepteur sint occaecat (2017-02)

    • Officia deserunt mollit (2017-01-05)

    • Laboris ullamco lnisi (2017)
